Stanley Forwand, MD
Dr. Forwand, a graduate of Columbia University of Physicians and Surgeons, has over 40 years professional experience as a physician of cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Forwand served as President of Mt. Auburn Cardiology Associates and as Chief of Cardiology for more than 30 years at Harvard's Mt. Auburn Hospital. During this time he also served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
I want to tell you that it is my passion and calling to help you achieve your weight loss goals. I, as a formerly obese person, know intimately the struggle with the lifestyle change that is necessary to not only lose weight, but keep it off. I understand the great challenge but also the great rewards. I lost 88 pounds along my health journey and am happy to report that I have found a way to successfully keep the weight off while eating tons of healthy food (& one cheat meal per week- yay!). Everyone has life challenges that seem overwhelming at times. I am a busy mom of 5 in perimenopause, so I get that sometimes convenience and/or bodily changes can make it more difficult, but let me tell you, it is NOT impossible! I have used nutrition to heal my body of metabolic syndrome, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol and other maladies associated with obesity and poor diet. No longer is the doctor threatening to put me on medications to treat the symptoms, because I have found the cure. If I can do it, I know you can too!
